The biggest news of the week was the fact that the Gazete was passed allowing us to get back on the water to fish! Thanks to everyone involved and SAKFA for fighting for this on our behalf! For more information on SAKFA please visit www.sakfa.co.za.
With no one being on the water the guys had a good scattered approach to the weekend with some guys heading out at Simonstown and others headed for robben Island.
Bill, Stephen and I headed out before sunrise in Simons to go grab us a couple of chokka then trolling to see if there was anything around. A couple of guys, Joseph and his mate joined a bit later as the sun arrived. The guys who targeted some bottoms were rewarded with a couple of nice Romans.
Danelle, Taariq and Devin aimed for Robben from Blouberg’s side, nothing this time round came out but some real positive news with Tail around but some lock jaw for now.
Not much more happening on Sunday with James, Chris, Lutchin and a mate trying out Simons but nothing more that some bottoms and the odd chokka coming out.
Erik and Nick also got to test out their brand new ski’s. Welcome to the stealthtribe gents!
On Sat Martin and Dewald were the lucky guys this weekend with a nice Poenskop by Martin in Arniston and some Bonnies with a Snoek caught by Dewald at Robben from 3Ancor side.
Lekker guys, we’re back on the water. Stay safe and tight lines! Some rain this week with a promising weekend to follow.
